Overview
A Jaipur-based stock market brand wanted a predictable flow of enquiries from Google at a cost per lead its business could live with. In a single 30-day window the account spent roughly ₹32.8K and produced 70 leads at about ₹469 each.
The Pain Point
Stock market advertising in India is tightly regulated, heavily contested and full of traffic that will never become a customer:
- Curiosity outnumbers intent. Most people searching about the stock market want free tips and tutorials, not a paid service.
- A small budget leaves no room for waste. At roughly ₹33K a month, a week of irrelevant clicks is a week of the month gone.
- Nothing was being measured properly. Without conversion tracking on every enquiry, there is no way to tell a good campaign from a lucky one.
The Solution
Tracking went in before any spend did. Every enquiry — form and call — was set up as a conversion, so the account could be judged on leads rather than clicks from day one.
After that it was discipline rather than cleverness: intent-led searches only, a growing negative keyword list to keep the tip-seekers out, one goal on the landing page, and daily budget pacing so the month did not burn out in its first week.
What We Did
1. Set up conversion tracking on every enquiry
Form fills and calls both counted, so optimisation worked on leads and not on traffic.
2. Targeted intent, excluded curiosity
Intent-led searches only, with a negative keyword list that kept free-tips and tutorial traffic out of the account.
3. Aligned ad and landing page to one goal
The ad and the page asked for the same thing — the enquiry — with nothing competing for attention.
4. Paced the budget daily
Daily pacing with weekly optimisation kept delivery steady across the full 30 days instead of front-loading the month.
A Note on the Figures
This campaign ran in Indian rupees in a 30-day window, and Google’s overview rounds some of its numbers. Figures marked with a tilde are calculated from those rounded values. We have not compared this account to the US benchmarks used elsewhere on this site, because a benchmark built from US search campaigns says nothing useful about cost per lead in India.
